Leaded Stained Glass Courses in Rome

Leaded stained glass is the oldest and most captivating technique in the art of glass. In our courses, you will learn how to create a traditional artistic stained glass panel using lead came to join and support the colored glass pieces, forming a solid and harmonious structure.
The leaded stained glass course takes place in a fully equipped artisan workshop, where each participant personally follows every stage of the process: from sketching the design to cutting the glass, from composition to final assembly.
Each project is crafted by the student’s own hands, with continuous guidance from a master glassmaker who leads the learning process step by step through traditional techniques.

Our Experience
Learning, for Real
A Hobby, a Passion, a Craft
In a world where work often loses its meaning, craftsmanship—especially artistic craftsmanship—restores the value of creating with awareness.
In stained glass, every idea takes shape through the hands of the maker, becoming form, light, and color.
It is a human-centered craft, where thought transforms into matter, and each work tells the story of the time and dedication that brought it to life.
Leaded Stained Glass – A Living Tradition
Leaded stained glass is one of those techniques that truly tells the story of artistic glass. It’s the same craftsmanship found in the great Gothic cathedrals, Renaissance windows, and workshops that for centuries have transformed small fragments of light into sacred images, coats of arms, and decorative motifs. An ancient art, yes—but far from outdated.
Today, leaded stained glass is experiencing a renaissance. It is no longer confined to historic settings: it enters modern homes, creative studios, and design spaces. Lead, with its clear and tactile lines, becomes a graphic element that gives character to interior doors, windows, partitions, and skylights. The transparency of the glass combines with the solidity of the structure, producing results that no industrial material can replicate.
It is a precise, hands-on technique, practiced at a deliberate pace. Yet that is exactly what fascinates people: those seeking an authentic craft, those wanting to create unique pieces, and those wishing to stand out with tangible, practical skills. Leaded stained glass is not just a craft—it is a way of designing, composing, and building beauty.
In our courses, we teach exactly this: how to cut glass safely, assemble the lead cames, solder, cement, finish, and—above all—how to design a stained glass panel that works both technically and aesthetically. We provide method, tools, and real hands-on workshop practice. Beginners can complete their first full panel, while those with experience refine their technique and explore more professional solutions.
If you want to learn a centuries-old technique that fits perfectly into contemporary design, this is the right opportunity. Leaded stained glass is an art that cannot be improvised: it must be learned, practiced, and it will accompany you for a lifetime. It can even become a rewarding, in-demand profession.
